CARE Framework Pillar 01

Credibility — Aligning regulatory standards and trust signals for UK care homes.

Can a family trust what they're reading? Credibility is about proving that your care home is legitimate, safe, and operating to recognised standards.

The Definition

Credibility relies on verifiable, evidence-based information that reflects real care standards and can be trusted by families and regulators.

In Practice

Content reflects recognised guidance from organisations such as the Care Quality Commission, NICE, and SCIE.

Claims are evidence-based rather than marketing-led. We avoid generic platitudes in favour of verifiable facts.

Authors or contributors have real care experience, for example registered managers or nurses.

Information aligns with regulatory expectations, including principles within Regulation 20A (duty of candour and transparency).

The home is presented honestly, including facilities, care types, and limitations.

EEAT & Trust

Credibility directly addresses the T (Trustworthiness) in Google's Search Quality Rater Guidelines. Trust is the most important pillar for healthcare and social care websites.

Google looks for signals that a site is a reliable source of information. By ensuring your digital authority is grounded in regulatory standards, we build a foundation of trust that search engines reward with authority.

Credibility FAQ

Can we improve our search presence if our current CQC rating is 'Requires Improvement'?

Yes. While a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' rating is a powerful conversion tool, credibility is also about transparency and accuracy. Ensuring your Google Business Profile is claimed, your categories are correct, and you are providing helpful, factual answers to family questions builds trust with both Google and families, regardless of your current rating.

If your CQC rating is Good or Outstanding and your website is not reflecting that clearly, we can show you exactly what is missing.
